CALLER ID: The optional Caller ID functionality has been improved. When your phone company provides Name and Number service, both pieces of information will appear on all the 7400 series display telephones.

RING GROUPS: The digital systems have a type of extension group called a Ring Group. A Ring Group is a set of extensions which will ring simultaneously when a call is directed to the group's floating number. Ring groups feature a unique Login/Logoff function that allows the extensions within the Ring group to remove themselves from the Ring Group by pressing a Login/Logoff button, or by dialing a feature code.

UNIFORM CALL DISTRIBUTION: Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) allows incoming calls to be evenly or uniformly distributed amongst a group of operators, agents, salespersons, or any group of extensions that receive a high volume of incoming calls. UCD without Outgoing Message is available in both the KX-TD816-3 and the KX-TD1232-3. UCD with Outgoing Message is available only in the 1232-3 when the optional DISA card is installed. Up to 4 outgoing messages can be recorded. As with the Ring Group feature, the Login/Logoff feature is available. Extensions within the UCD group can Login or Logoff within their group. Those extensions that are "logged in" will receive calls, and those extensions that are "logged off" will not receive UCD directed calls. UCD is not an option on the KX-TD308.

PHANTOM EXTENSIONS: Phantom extensions are extension numbers which can be assigned to any proprietary telephone that has the corresponding button. Up to 128 of these Phantom Extensions can now be assigned (16 on the KXTD308). Whenever an internal or outside call is directed to the Phantom Extension, all the telephones with the Phantom Extension Button will ring. The Phantom Button's green LED will light indicating which Phantom Extension was called. This feature allows an extension to have more than one extension number. This feature is also very useful when a Panasonic Digital Voice Mail System is connected and Custom Service is being used. For example, if a Custom Service script prompted a caller to dial "1"for sales "2" for service, the Voice Mail System could dial a Phantom Extension number 190 for sales and 191 for service. The station users with Phantom button 190 and 191 assigned would be able to identify whether the caller had dialed for sales or service based on the Phantom Button which lights up, and answers the call accordingly.

DIGITAL VOICE MAIL INTEGRATION: The KXTD308, KXTD816-3, and the KXTD1232-3 will digitally integrate with the KXTVS 75, KXTVS 100 and KXTVS 200 Voice Mail Systems. When integrated, these Panasonic phone systems will provide high-end features like Live Call Screening, Remote Live call Screening, Two-Way Record, Two-Way Transfer, Paging Notification and Automatic Configuration. Designed with built-in software to work with Panasonic Voice Processing Systems (VPS). Voice mail ports facilitate VPS integration. Panasonic Voice Processing Systems feature automated attendant, voice mail, custom services, and much more. FOLLOW-ON ID allows transferred calls to go directly into a personal mailbox, if there is no answer at the extension, and hear the personal greeting of the called party. IN-BAND PROGRESS TONES help speed up call processing.

DIRECT INWARD SYSTEM ACCESS (DISA): With the optional DISA card installed, the system (1232-3 ONLY ) will provide a simplified "auto attendant" feature with up to 64 seconds of outgoing message time. After dialing into the system, the caller receives the outgoing message and can dial the desired extension any time during or after the message. Additionally, by dialing in a security code, privileged callers can access the system's CO lines and dial other outside calls. Allows single digit access to extensions, Floating Numbers for Ring and UCD Groups, and Phantom Extensions. All Security Mode, allows only 3 incorrect DISA User Codes before disconnecting the call. Comes with the KX-TD308.

SYSTEM INTERCONNECTION: As your business expands, so can your telephone system. Two KX-TD 1232 Super Hybrid System control units can be connected via the optional KX-TD192 interconnection kit to form a single system with a maximum capacity of 24 Central Office (CO) lines and 64 extensions. And because the XDP feature allows even greater expansion, like the addition of single line devices, the station capacity can actually expand to 128 (64 digital and 64 single line devices).

PARALLEL PORT USAGE: The Super Hybrid System supports the parallel connection (same extension number) of any 7400 series proprietary telephone and a single line telephone device on the same port. Great for instantly connecting the answering machine or cordless phone directly into the phone on your desk. This way you only have to remeber one extension number to reach your party.

AUTOMATIC ROUTE SELECTION: The Super Hybrid System can help reduce long distance costs by automatically routing outgoing calls to specific CO lines, based on pre-programmed system tables. Time-of-day routing and dialed-digit modification are also supported.

TRUNK ANSWER FROM ANY STATION (TAFAS): Sends ringing from outside calls through the external paging system, allowing CO calls to be answered from any station in the system.

TOLL RESTRICTION: The Super Hybrid can be programmed to prohibit unauthorized outgoing long distance calls by restricting specified area/office codes access from certain extensions.
